Alec Smith

Meet Alec Smith, a true Midwestern spirit who ventured west to Montana in pursuit of a deeper connection with the mountains and his love for horses. Alec found his calling in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, where he continues to guide hunters in the fall months for elk.

Alec started working in Bob in 2018 where he spent the majority of his days in the saddle on packtrips, trail rides, and guided hunts. This is where his passion for the western saddle was found.

Our approach

The most important part of a saddle is function. Function being, fitting the horse and rider comfortably while also doing the job it was designed to do. Having many years of making a living off of the back of a horse has given me the insight needed to build a functioning saddle.
